By deeply caring for others, we find greater meaning and significance in our lives. The College creates holistic engagement opportunities for students through the Christian Service Learning Program, House Missions and Catholic Missions. Student Leaders provide peer support, and there are several key parent engagement opportunities.

The College’s Pastoral Care and Christian Service-Learning programs are an integral measure of our authenticity as a Catholic community. Our programs teach our students the transformative power of active service and the importance of respectful relationships and responsible stewardship. Our aim is to nurture caring, compassionate, and selfless future citizens who can demonstrate genuine empathy and respect for others.

House System providing FLOW with Others

The College ‘s House System comprises six Houses which are named after a saint. Students are encouraged to become familiar with the qualities the patron saint of their House exemplifies and to apply them to his or her life. The House motto represents what House members should aspire to during their time at the College. Students are placed in a House and remain in that house for their duration at the College. Siblings are in the same House, fostering strong ties between home and College.

The Secondary School Homeroom system is horizontal in which Year Levels are grouped together. This supports the work of Head of Year in their pastoral care of students and builds a greater rapport amongst students within year levels. Year 7 students are placed in their own Homeroom so that transition to Secondary School activities can take place on a daily basis. The older House members generally care for their younger peers in a friendly and nurturing manner, welcome them to the House, initiate them to its traditions and provide a good example for the younger students to build upon for the future.

Students participate in the many varied Inter-House activities such as Athletics Carnival, Cross-Country, Swimming, Beach Carnival, netball, soccer, lunchtime novelty events, public speaking, theatre sports and Sale of the Century. Points scored at these events go towards the House Shield which is presented to the winning House at the annual Speech and Awards Presentation. Points are awarded not only for results but also for participation and positive involvement. Each House also has a Mission, which all members of the House support.
