Established in 1992, Mandurah Catholic College (MCC) is a co-educational school catering to students from Kindergarten to Year 12 and offering a quality Catholic education. Set amongst 12 hectares of natural bushland in the coastal suburb of Mandurah in the Peel Region, south of Perth, the College caters for over 1700 students and has over 200 members of staff.
The College aims to create a climate where students can grow in their Catholic faith, and Christian values and principles are nurtured. Our patrons, the Holy Family provide inspiration to students and staff, with the family unit and values at the centre of all we do.
The College provides a holistic education with the aim to promote the optimal development of each individual. The College places strong importance on the Pastoral Care of students: their physical, emotional and mental wellbeing are a high priority.
MCC students have access to a broad range of academic, cultural sporting and ministry opportunities, which enriches their learning experience. The College boasts well-resourced facilities and is equipped with the latest technology to enhance student outcomes.

The Holy Family were chosen as the Patrons of the College as they are an inspiration to the students and staff in their pursuit of learning and faith development. The Interim School Board agreed to the College being placed under the patronage of the Holy Family at its inception. A Secondary Catholic School was requested by the families of the Peel Region, who petitioned the Bishop to open one. Mandurah Catholic College was started by families, for families in the Mandurah area, and so the Holy Family were fitting patrons for a College founded on the family unit. The Holy Family of Nazareth – the child Jesus with his mother Mary and foster father Joseph is a popular and traditional subject of devotion.
Mandurah Catholic College draws inspiration and direction from the stories of how our patron saints exemplified particular gifts of the Spirit. The Holy Family is a symbol and example of what we, as Christians and Catholics, aspire to become in the daily living of our lives. The College strives to uphold and affirm traditional family values, in particular having high moral standards and discipline, honesty, truthfulness and sincerity, integrity, kindness and perseverance. Patrons’ Day is the day on which the whole College gathers together to pay respect to the Holy Family.

College Motto, “Seek Truth”, comes directly from the aims of the College. There is always a need to seek and the word itself implies effort and a willingness to work according to one’s capacity. Truth is the object of all discovery, implying a search for an ideal and never being satisfied with mediocrity. The ultimate truth is God, who is the object of all our seeking. (1991)
The logo is a cross within a circle. The cross symbolises the sacrifice that we, as Christians, must make to ensure that we leave this world a better place, while the circle symbolises the eternal and all-encompassing nature of our God. -
The College Prayer was created in 2011, by then Year 8 student Emily Ferraro. For the past 11 years, the College Prayer has been a daily occurrence, providing students and staff a chance to reflect on our Holy Family Patrons.
Dear Lord,Bless us the people of Mandurah Catholic College, that we may be guided to do right each day and to seek your truth. Though we travel together through good times and bad, let us always remember the example of the Holy Family.
Mary, Mother of God and mother to all, help us to be as faithful as servant to God as you were.
Joseph, earthly Father of Jesus, you showed unconditional love, help us to love and care in this way also.
Jesus, Son of God the Father, watch over us. May our College be a place of Peace & Hope, Learning, Faith and Love.
Amen.
